Karen G. Grant, M.D.

Grant.jpgDr. Grant graduated from Hendrix College and the University of Arkansas School of Medicine before completing a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. Having grown up in the Air Force, she could not resist the urge to serve and was assigned to the Little Rock Air Force Base in 1983. Following separation from military service in 1986, she served briefly in the Arkansas Air National Guard.

She is very active in her local church. Her outside activities include singing, reading, keeping up with her children, and pursuing her family history. She and her husband live in Jacksonville.

Sharon Pickens, APN

Sharon-Pickens.jpgSharon Pickens graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and followed up with a master’s degree in nursing from the University of Florida. She continued her education with a post-master’s degree in Family Practice from the University of Central Arkansas. Sharon has been a nurse practitioner since 1990, with a portion of her career proudly serving in the U.S. Air Force. During her tenure as a nurse practitioner, Sharon has given various talks on the subject of women’s health in addition to writing numerous newspaper articles and co-authoring an article in the urologic journal.

Sharon is a happily married mother of three adult children. Although a busy, dedicated women’s health provider, she remains active in her local church and outreach programs.
